My daughter loves to have me read her stories at night. Sometimes she wants to hear the same story again and again. If I enjoy the story, no problem...
When I don't, I make up different endings or different adventures. If I really hate the story, something very bad happens... ("Suddenly a Tyrannosaurs Rex appeared...and ate the pink My Little Pony. The end."

One day, when my daughter was 5, she asked me to make up a "whole new story." I remember sitting by her bed frantically thinking "what could this story be about?"
My first thought was "how about someone very large and someone very small?" I liked this. My next was "how about a girl who is a giant?" I pictured her lying in her garden, rather lonely and sad.

I wondered, "what would be really small?" I imagined a worm, sticking his head up near her feet. What would he say?
"Your feet stink!"

And what would the girl's name be? Boobela! I had the beginning of my story. This whole process took about 30 seconds!
Boobela is a word meaning darling, honey or pet. Click here to see how you pronounce it.
