Most special magic comes from being able to tune into your mind and body. It's like hearing a very quiet voice in a room of people shouting.

Dowsing is a good way to start. It has been used for thousands of years as a way of finding things – usually water, coal, or other minerals. (Remember many years ago there was no other way to find underground water or minerals!)

Children often find dowsing easy. Here you'll learn to dowse using rods, just like Boobela

As you know from the Boobela story, there are two ways to dowse. You can use a "Y" shaped stick or metal rods.

Sticks

Gran prefers the "Y" shaped stick. Try to find one in a nearby woods. Hold the two ends of the “y” in your hands leaving the single other side pointing away from you. It will turn or go up and down when you find what you're looking for.
