I love doing school visits. Generally I do talks for classes in years 1, 2, 3 and 4. I bring hats, play games, and talk to children about my experience of becoming a writer. I've done stand up comedy in the past so my visits are entertaining and make children laugh. Both boys and girls love Boobela and Worm.
Since I started writing at 7 and sold my first play at 11, I know that childen want to write and can do it at a high level. I hope to inspire them to do this.
Situated as it is between picture books and chapter books, Boobela is ideally suited to encouraging kids to read more.
